I like many others are addicted to the new facebook craze. It's the easiest , and granted most fun way, to communicate with your friends no matter where they are. It also is a great utility to meet new people , share ideas , and debate issues.Lately, after registering to several facebook groups I have noticed that groups of little importance seem to grow at a much slower rate then the ones of importance. For example , 50% of Canadians (the average of most polls) are opposed to Morgentaler being inducted into the Order of Canada but the facebook group:
Oppose Morgentaler's Order of Canada
Common Interest - Politics- Size:
- 12,109 members
Canada vs. America - The count to one million
Just for Fun - Outlandish Statements- Size:

I Dont care How Comfortable Crocs Are, You Look Like A Dumbass.
Common Interest - Philosophy- Size:
- 927,684 members
Petition against CBC's Hockey Night in Canada
- Size:
- 24,152 members
From Facebook , It seems Canadians care more about Hockey Night in Canada , and people wearing Crocs then the issue of abortion rights.
....but you can't really blame anyone , Facebook is not meant to politically divide people. It is a fun social tool that is supposed to bring everyone together. From the current looks of it , it is doing its job.
